I’m loving all of these medical terms that I am learning …

I had my MRI last week and they found some spots where I am leaking – yet again! WTH! It could be from where the lumbar drain was placed. Megan said it best – “so the needle to drain the leak caused another leak?” The MRI results say I have a dinosaur tail as well as a bunch of other stuff I don’t understand.

This first pic is from the internet – basically it means that fluid is collecting along my spine that looks like those raised white dots in the pic on the right (b).

This pic is my spine, and yep, there are those raised white bumps. Seems like they could come up with a better name than dinosaur tail, but here we are.

Now I am waiting for them to tell me next steps. My neurologist made it sound like they do a “blood patch” and that it’s an outpatient procedure. We shall see. Anything to stop my daily headaches and help me feel more like myself again.
