We just got back from my appointment with my ENT surgeon and I’m now considered “Single Side Deaf.” I was so excited during the hearing test because I could hear beeps on my right side, but it was all a trick! They were sending input from my right side over to my left. The good news is that I have options that can do this – send my right ear noises over to my left ear. It’s called the CROS system and gets mixed reviews from the Acoustic Neuroma support group I’m in. Yes, there’s a support group for just about anything!
My facial nerve is just going to be a waiting game. I wish they had a better answer for that, but in the meantime I just look like I have a constant disapproving scowl! My eyebrows are also uneven because of it and he wants me to see an ophthalmologist next just to make sure it’s not damaging my eye in any way.

So for now I just keep working on getting out, walking, and slowly getting back into life. ❤️ you all and thank you so much for all of the flowers, food and cards!
