OK, I’m going to be brave and show the evolution of my face… Do you think it’s looking better? My PT thinks there is more “tone” showing up and I guess if you look at the pics, you can see it. I think the bangs definitely help! lol. The head wrap pic was from my second surgery on October 20.

I’ve also been getting way more intense headaches, which could be nerve pain. That could mean the facial nerve is waking up. I was warned that it might be painful. That would be an amazing 50th birthday present! Yes, 50. Kyl goes first on 1/21 and then I’m next on 3/1.

We are going to Jamaica to celebrate with friends. At first I was like there is no way I am going, but I’m trying to get out in public more. I even joined an art class, which was more like a therapy support group on the first day with everyone sharing their stories. You really never know what someone else is going through. I tend to get caught up in my own crap and then you hear someone else’s story and it’s like instant perspective.

Another cool thing that happened this month was …

If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for this restaurant! It’s always had a reputation for terrible food but an amazing atmosphere (some might argue “amazing atmosphere” but I have very fond childhood memories of it). Anyway, the guys from South Park bought it in 2020 and have been bringing it back to it’s former glory! There is even a South Park episode about it (season 7, episode 11). It was everything I could have hoped for.
