In this episode of Schitt’s Creek, David is so nervous to do his driver’s test. Alexis tries to calm him down by telling him “nobody cares.” It’s so true!
I decided to be brave yesterday and go to my first group pilates class since my surgery. I was so nervous. I had a whole speech prepared about how I am recovering from surgery. How I would need to modify, blah, blah, blah. I get there and the teacher is nowhere to be seen. It’s a bunch of 20 somethings at the front desk – who could have cared less. So I go inside and wait for the instructor to come in so I can tell her all of my concerns. She comes in right when it starts, music playing, giving us immediate instruction. Basically, there was no time for me to tell her anything – and NOBODY CARES!! lol. I just kept laughing about this to myself during the class. I got through it and am very proud of myself!
My face continues to improve! Here’s a photo from December and from today.

The neurologist said that the first thing to kick in would be the facial folds by my nose and mouth, and it is starting to have more definition. It’s exciting to watch it progress. My eyes are also starting to look not so lopsided. I still have the weight in my eyelid, which is annoying. It won’t come out until my face is fully recovered and I can close that eye independently of the other eye.
Ella is progressing too. She is starting to contemplate some of her patterns and behaviors and how they affect others. They are calling this the contemplative stage and we are happy she has reached this milestone. Parent weekend is in two weeks and we will fly out there to see her. That will be my first time flying since all of this went down, so hopefully that goes well.
Also, if you listen to the Smartless podcast, Mark Ruffalo is on and he talks about his Acoustic Neuroma!
