One down, four to go

The first treatment was super easy and quick! I’m only getting radiation for 8 minutes at a time. That number varies by person and by tumor shape and size.

When the treatment starts, those doors open and the table moves in.

It was weird – totally quiet. You don’t hear, see or feel anything. They do let you listen to music, which was a nice distraction.

They put a sticker on your nose to track any head movement. Maybe Kyl can get a pic of that next time! 😂

I was pretty tired all afternoon but it could also be the Lorazepam (always said in a southern accent like Parker Posey.)

Meanwhile, we’ll be eating local baked goods, possibly touring Monticello – Thomas Jefferson’s home and grounds (he apparently enslaved over 600 people in his lifetime) and visiting wineries.
